Well i’ve been here all of these years living life by stopping time
In one hand I wield clarity in the other drugs and wine
Though they both can reek of charity, they’re daringly divine
I’ll clear a path with my machete so ya’ll keep close behind
And we’ll paint signs along the road in case you ever are left guessing
In books and tapes and melodies we’ll transfer all our lessons
The mind is but a beauty just begging for undressing
But take your time cause patience can often be a blessing
So here it is all I am in this moment you can have me
But don’t hold on to long for stagnation can be maddening
The only thing that I can give that truly is worth having
